Welcome to soos, a family run Malaysian resto/bar on the Ossington strip! We are not your typical street style Malaysian restaurant. We specialize in Malay-Nyonya (the Chinese influence in Malay cooking) flavours with a contemporary twist. "Malay-dian", if you will. If you are not familiar with Malaysian flavours, then you're in luck! Our mission is to introduce the complex and delicious flavours of Malaysian-Nyonya cuisine by incorporating them into small plates and snacks that are very popular today. All our small plates are great for sharing over original house cocktails, or a glass of wine. Stick to your favourites, or try our daily specials, which change based on fresh and interesting ingredients. Happy Chinese New Year! It's the year for our talented, young chef, Zack Soo (23). Come see what's cooking in the soos kitchen for CNY! Hints: there is the traditional Malay/Sing sashimi "yee sang" tossed salad, done with 18 ingredients before the kumquat & plum glaze. Yum. Other highlights include roast duck, jumbo prawn, and a feature red cocktail.
